Welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Valdivia, I love being a part of our Seneca family and I am so excited to be your first grade teacher! I love teaching first grade because I get to see you learn to read and write and solve math problems all on your own. We have so many fun and exciting learning adventures planned. I grew up in Moreno Valley and graduated from Moreno Valley High School. After graduating, I attended the University of Redlands and got my Master’s Degree in Education shortly after.
I am married to Mr. Valdivia and we have two little boys, Nathan is 2 years old and Niko is 2 months old. I definitely miss my kids while I’m at work but being surrounded by awesome, polite, loving first graders makes me feel better. I have taught first grade for 6 years and taught a 1st and 2nd grade combination class for two years. Teaching is such a blessing!
I look forward to getting to know each of you and your families and watching you grow and blossom throughout the year. This is going to be a great year!

-Please be kind to everyone in and out of our class
-Please be polite and use words like “Please”, “Thank you” and “Excuse me”
-Please try your hardest at everything that we do and do not give up
-Please always ask questions if you are not sure of something
-Please get plenty of rest the nights before school so that you are rested and ready to be your best!
